Cub Mufasa (Muffy) and Sarabi ^_^
This originally started out as a sketch testing the performance of my photoshop. I liked it so I decided to finish it. BG is rushed XD Though simple I think it fits. I always default to Lion King characters when ever I test stuff... O_o Hopefully you can tell the subtle differences between Mufasa and Simba cub character designs. >_< Cub Scar and Zira : [link] <3 [Edit] ... well it seems the recent comments on the eyes of this image are bugging peeps. I didn't draw this with the intent of lions gazing at each other for love dovey interest kind of way. ( like every other couples drawing, blah ) This image is about the future of the pridelands and there strength together. Mufasa is looking away because he is a young confident little prince looking forward to what is to come and Sarabi is there supporting him. If I had them looking at each other the it would have meant their love for each other... but their cubs... so their be none of that just yet. XD The Lion King © Disney 1994 |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. I'm not a professional but somehow I think that it would've been better if cubs looked in the same direction or at each other. I just don't feel the picture as a finished piece like that, sorry ^^*

You're right, the simple background does go well with this, and yes, I can see the differences between Mufasa's cub design and Simba, so don't worry. Though, Mufasa's just kinda starin' off into space doncha think? Maybe he's lookin at an airplane or somethin? I mean, compared to Simba, he was around when dirt was new, so maybe just staring at the clouds or the horizon was acceptable? X3

College has been wrapping up for me. I just finished with my last exam(which is how I found some time to comment XP) and I'll be leaving Friday to head back to Tampa. Should be good. Well, I'll talk with you later then.
