Wiki says:
A Kodama is a spirit from Japanese folklore, which is believed to live in certain trees. Cutting down a tree which houses a Kodama is thought to bring misfortune, and such trees are often marked with shimenawa rope.

Kodama appear most famously in the animated film Princess Mononoke, in which they are protrayed as small, white humanoids with large, rattling heads and mask-like features.

These will be on show at the Jacon 07.

I can't begin to describe my joy at finding such skillfully drawn Kodamas. If haven't guessed from my Avi they are favorite mythological creatures. :w00t:

Yes I actually have a new one folks.
"he who would pun would pick a pocket."
Gold star sticker if you can tell me where that is from. :D
I simply love these little guys! You did an awesome job, and I'm glad you did so many of them. Also, the "roughness" of the shading on and around them adds a natural feeling, which applies perfectly, considering the subjects.

Shhhh... my common sense is tingling!
