Why? Because Sony only built the PS3 to promote blu-ray. Not for gamers... BLU RAY!!! the sooner people get this threw their thick skulls the better.

I just spent the last hour commenting on other peoples journals trying to defend gaming in general because these morons that bought a PS3 and automatically think that the current game market isn't fun anymore. Hello?!?! you bought a PS3, of course your going to think that. It was meant to be a blu-ray DVD player. To further my point, when I went to Blockbuster yesterday I saw a brand new PS3 on display, not playing game demos like the console should, but on its fancy Sony flat screen monitor it was playing bloody Pirates of the Caribbean. The last time I checked that was a movie.

Sure Sony has 2 good titles I'm interested in playing... like Ratchet and Clank... and that other one where its a male Tomb Raider wanna be. But in the end.. I can play any other game title I want on any other system. The only thing PS3 has going are for those gamers that will never move on to a different genre. Yes I'm talking about those die hard Devil may cry and Final fantasy fans. I don't even call these people gamers anymore who only play one type of game. Heck the last game I would recomend for Play Station in general is God of War, but even not thats becoming redundant with the 3rd game to be released later this year. New titles for the PS3 just doesn't spark my interest because its the same crap being pushed out with a new label.

Sad fact is Sony is going to win the blu-ray war because they screwed over gamers. Those that have a PS3 use it for a blu-ray player. Why not? its cheaper then HD and Blu-ray stand lone players. If I really wanted that little jump in quality in my nonexistent home theater, maybe I would by a PS3. Trouble is Paramount, Walmart and Blockbuster among the few see the retail sales of blu ray being higher then that of HD thinking that blu-ray is what everyone wants, so they go with blu-ray only format. Its taking statistics and bending the truth. Not to mention porn is now on blu-ray. At this rate, HD doesn't have a chance and we wont really see which format will win. Sneaky ploy Sony, its working.

I could really rant on forever on this. And I probably will with on onslaught of Journal comments I'm going to get for this. Let it be known if I get any, PS3 is an awesome console bull shit, fuck off. I consider you part of the problem. Instead of really looking at the facts to what Sony is doing to the gaming market, you ignorantly stay a die hard fan of Play Station. Because somewhere you think it hasn't gone wrong in the last 10 years that it will still put out and full fill my needs. Well wake up. Your getting screwed. Its time to move on a demand more then just re-hatched game ideas. Become an educated gamer!
