► Marietta chalk festival GA, USA Oct 10-12th
The past few weeks I've been planning and packing for the fall street painting season! First Event of the season is October 10-12 in Marietta GA for there annual chalk festival! This will be my first time chalking at this event. Supper exited and stoked! I'll be doing a 10x10 ft square of Scott Spillmans Michonne from the Walking Dead series. He's in the middle of completing the whole Walking Dead cast and just finished up Merle and Hershel. Choosing what to pack for events is never easy. Studying colors, looking at what you have, if you need to order new. It takes time. The below photo is laying out all my colors figuring out what would work best. Keeping organized is key which is why I have my chalks already separated by color and type. I use 3 different chalks usually in my work. The Mountain vision pastels, Eternity chalks, and Koss soft pastels. Sometimes I'll add in crayola glitter chalk for an added sparkle effect. Kids tend to like it when I do too.
