New Look

First off I want to thank UJz for helping me design a new journal skin to use here on DA. I wanted something that was clean and simple to read and UJz definitely did just that. Especially with all the new mobile users my old design was really out dated. I just didn't have the time to create my own so I commissioned UJz. I asked that it reflected a similar design of my new website and he did just that! I'm very pleased with the results! Thank you UJz!

If you are looking for a new journal skin design, check out UJz. Reasonably priced and awesome to work with.

New Avatar

Yep, after 7 years I finally changed my avatar! I've wanted a new one for awhile now, just didn't have a idea what I wanted to do and what I wanted it to be. After lots of thought simple is best.  The color version of the bird ( aka rib birdy for those who remember from my live stream ) has been on my business card for awhile now. One day I took the time to make a silhouette version and I liked it! So no more weird spinny wii u logo. Which btw wasn't Wii u logo, I created the old one in 2004, I guess the design was strong enough for Nintendo to put a brand behind it... and it just came out simular. Well, not any more Nintendo!  You can't steal my identity a 3rd time! or... can they...

I haven't decided yet if I will be changing my name here on DA. The ones I would want are taken and of course not being used. Will see, for now its still staying charfade.

New Direction

Over the past 3 years I've been really focusing on studying, and I'm continuing to do so. The combination of street painting and digital art has allowed me to see blending of colors in a whole new way. I don't think this will be changing. However I do plan on producing more polished finished works going forward from here.  Looking back I have a lot of great work, but most of them have been just studies. Partly because studies are fast and easy to do in a day, finished polished works take a week or more. I also want to try and break the cute curse! My friends have told me several times I can't draw ugly. Even my ugly turns out cute. This is one other thing I intend to work on. We will see if it is possible!

New live stream channel on Picarto.TV

After the last debacle on live stream, with insane amounts of lag, chat freezing and over all poor experience,  I decided no more! I have moved, along with several other artists to Picarto.TV.

I've been giving it a go for about a month now and I can say much better experience. The features seemed to be gears more around the artist. Artists go to the site, so your going to get a better crowd following.  If you like someone a lot you can follow it like you can on Twitch, you can give users mods, and if you pony up and get the paid version you can have 3 people on at the same time on the same channel. Something I new you could do in xsplit, but this just makes it a little bit more easier to follow. Going to try this feature out with Bahkana in December and see how it goes. So far I've liked the experience. The set up is a little tedious, but after that pretty simple to use. And I can recommend it to anyone who enjoys streaming.

New Twitter

Well not really new, I've had it for while. but figured I'd promote it again. > twitter.com/CassChalk

Twitter Twitter is just really easy and simple to use with out all the fuss! Especially when I just want to put something up from an event real quick. I'm looking for more artists to follow on twitter!  If you got one send a note or leave a comment!

Last 2 Events of the year

Heading into the last 2 events of the year. Which is Sarasota Chalk Festival and the Art Works Eau Gallie Fine Arts Festival. Its been a great festival year so far and so happy with the work that came out of it. I feel a little more confident doing larger spaces, but still enjoy the smaller size. 10x10 is still my max for now. Still not getting around as well as I used to. Which btw the hip is doing much better so long as I stretch a be careful with it. ^^
